Mr Y complained that the Practice had not responded to his complaint about the care and treatment provided to his late mother.

The Ombudsman found that it had been 6 months since the Practice acknowledged the complaint, but it had not investigated or provided a response. She decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Practice’s agreement to apologise to Mr Y and provide a complaint response, within 10 working days.
