We have committed to a spend of up to £1 billion in this Parliament on IAMD. This investment will initially focus on improvement of IAMD command and control to ensure we make best use of current and future capabilities in event of hostile air and missile attacks. Additional investment in IAMD sensing will improve early warning of attacks, followed by investment to build on existing capability to defeat attacks. These improvements will ensure the UK continues to play an important role in the NATO Integrated Air and Missile Defence System (NATINAMDS), which numerous other European defence.
