Recommendation
Ofgem and the ESO should reduce the grid connection queue urgently and speed up timelines to connect projects to the grid. They should publish updates on how the reforms are progressing reducing the queue of proposed projects. They should consider prioritising storage projects for accessing the queue given their additional benefits such as alleviating grid constraints as well as acting as flexible generation.
