Conclusion (the committee's words)
The principle that official statistics are produced in a system designed to protect from political intervention remains an important one. We do not recommend changes to the relevant legislation nor to the structure of the UKSA or the ONS at this stage. (Recommendation, Paragraph 92) Funding
