Recommendation (the committee's words)
The modern service framework should make data collection mandatory, including information on referrals, treatment uptake, outcomes and patient experience. Data must be collected throughout a course of treatment and across the patient’s lifetime and the modern service framework should set out suggestions for the most effective points at which to collect data. (Recommendation, Paragraph 71) 37
