Recommendation (the committee's words)
The obesity modern service framework should set out expectations around a new, simplified and consistent obesity care pathway, designed at all levels with lived experience input, with improved guidance for professionals, more standardised referral criteria, and the potential for other settings to refer into the pathway. The pathway should ensure that patients receive long-term support and condition management and can remain within the service if a treatment option does not prove effective. (Recommendation, Paragraph 70)
