Full decision

Mr C complained about changes to his supported living service, which is commissioned by Conwy County Borough Council. He said that the Council had not adequately responded to the concerns he had raised.

The Ombudsman had previously decided that the Council had not had a reasonable opportunity to respond to Mr C’s complaints, and referred the complaint to the Council for it to provide a response. The Council accepted that although two months had passed, Mr C’s complaint had not been progressed. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to acknowledge Mr C’s complaint within one week and respond to his concerns within one month.
