Full decision

Miss A complained to Cardiff Council about fly-tipping in the allotments by her house which is causing rats to appear around her property.

The Ombudsman found that the Council had not removed the waste from the area. The Ombudsman considered that this caused Miss A frustrations and concerns and decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to remove the fly-tipping waste, within 4 weeks.
