Full decision

Mr A complained that Wrexham County Borough Council had failed to provide him with a new waste bin and did not fully address his concerns in its complaint response.

The Ombudsman decided that the Council’s response did not accurately reflect the concerns that Mr A had raised, and this caused inconvenience and frustration for Mr A. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to apologise to Mr A for failing to properly address his concerns and to provide Mr A with a further complaint response within 3 weeks.
