Full decision

Mr A complained that Wrexham County Borough Council failed to complete the repairs to the road he raised concerns about.

The Ombudsman found that the repairs had not been completed to the road in question, however, the Council has confirmed that it has been trialling new machinery to carry out the repairs, but did not inform Mr A of this. The Ombudsman said this caused uncertainty and frustration for Mr A and decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to, within 1 weeks, to write to Mr A and inform him of the new machinery used by the Council and how the road in question is on the relevant list to be repaired within the next month.
