Full decision

Mr X complained that despite putting a formal complaint forward to the Health Board in October 2021, the Health Board had yet to respond to his concerns.

The Ombudsman was concerned that Mr X had yet to receive a response to his concerns and contacted the Health Board. As an alternative to an investigation, the Health Board agreed to provide Mr X with an apology letter for the delays he has encountered by 31 May 2022, and to also issue a written response to his concerns by 30 June 2022. The Ombudsman accepted this as a resolution to Mr X’s complaint.
