The Council failed to provide Mrs X’s child Y with Speech and Language Therapy provision in line with their Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan between September 2024 and October 2025. It also delayed reviewing and amending Y’s Plan prior to post 16 education by six months. The Council agreed to apologise and make a payment to recognise the injustice caused to Y and Mrs X. It will also carry out service improvements via an organisational action plan.
