Mrs X complained about the Council’s failure to provide her son with adequate support for his special educational needs. She also complained about delay in the Education, Health and Care Plan process. We found the Council to be at fault. This caused significant distress and frustration and meant Mrs X’s son missed out on support he was entitled to. To remedy this injustice, we recommend the Council should apologise and make a payment to Mrs X.
