Conclusion (the committee's words)
Best Start Family Hubs should work hard to develop inclusive activities specifically designed to be welcoming to parents and carers who may not have had a positive experience of reading aloud at school or who may struggle to read themselves. The Committee received evidence that such groups can be transformative in unlocking the joy of reading with children for parents and carers and in building confidence. (Recommendation, Paragraph 83)
