Conclusion (the committee's words)
The Department should build on the National Year of Reading, transforming its focus into a National Decade of Reading in order to ensure that reading for pleasure remains a long-term priority, and use it as an opportunity to effect much more far-reaching change to embed reading for pleasure into all areas of education. (Recommendation, Paragraph 41)
