Conclusion (the committee's words)
One key priority group missing from the National Year of Reading is children with SEND, particularly those with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. The Department must set out what steps it is taking to support these children to develop an enjoyment of reading and ensure that all future work on reading for pleasure is accessible for children with SEND. (Recommendation, Paragraph 42)
