Recommendation
The Government should continue monitoring the effectiveness of feed additives in real life case studies and ensure its own robust understanding of the costs before supporting wider rollout. The Government should look to international comparisons in selective breeding and animal health and consider how they could be replicated in the UK context, in collaboration with farmers.
