However, much evidence argued that innovative construction methods, including MMC, digital design and standardisation, has potential to improve delivery and productivity onsite. 139 Simon Rawlinson, Vice Chair of the Construction Industry Council, told us that MMC has been broadly successful in the UK in certain sectors including education, healthcare and defence. 140 We were told that MMC can make sites more productive by assembling construction products off-site, especially where MMC exists within a cohesive system of production, transport and installation. 141
