The UK’s ongoing support for Ukraine underlines the UK defence industry’s potential for swift action...

Conclusion
The UK’s ongoing support for Ukraine underlines the UK defence industry’s potential for swift action and technological innovation while working with an ally, particularly amongst SMEs. Recent developments include a low- cost drone interceptor and a ground-launched ballistic missile with a range greater than 500 kilometres. The Department said that so far the UK had spent £13 billion supporting Ukraine, and had recently pledged a further £500 million. Part of this has been invested in Ukraine, and part has helped to bring the technology back to the UK. The Department is actively involved with promoting investment opportunities and partnerships with Ukrainian companies.32
