A significant 13% of schools failed to participate in the National Tutoring Programme.
Conclusion
In 2021/22, 87% of schools in England participated in some form of tutoring under the National Tutoring Programme.39 When we asked the Department why 13% of schools had not taken part at all in the National Tutoring Programme, it told us that this had been the “biggest disappointment” of the recovery programme.40
