Recommendation 24

24 Paragraph: 171

Parliament should be informed of adverse judgements by the European Court of Human Rights.

Recommendation
Parliament should be informed of adverse judgements by the European Court of Human Rights. This could occur by convention rather than statute. The Government should also provide Parliament in such cases with an action plan, setting out how the Government intends to resolve the issue that led to the judgement, and its proposed timeframe for doing so.
