Recommendation
The Government should work with industry to determine and set out an assessment and estimate of the numbers of skilled individuals that will be needed to deliver on its hydrogen targets, and across which professions, and work with industry to fund training and retraining programmes accordingly. Training skilled individuals has the longest lead time and so needs to be happening now if projects are to scale up.
