Recommendation 23
23
Increased workload for administrators due to new electoral system technologies and online portals.
Conclusion
Recent changes to electoral systems, in particular the greater use of online portals, have provided new and necessary ways for people to engage with the electoral system. However, a consequence of this has been an increase in workload for electoral administrators and others in the electoral system. It appears to us that these advancements have only gone part of the way, and that greater use needs to be made of advancement in technology and in use of data. (Conclusion, Paragraph 87)
