33. The US remains the UK’s closest security and defence partner. For this reason, we will continue to coordinate closely with them on shared national security threats. 34. The UK and US share a deep commitment to upholding freedom of speech and defending open democratic debate. The UK views information manipulation as a form of deception rather than legitimate discourse. We are focused on stopping hostile actors from misleading the public, not on regulating political views or lawful disagreement. 35.
