The draft EN-7 recognises that the sites listed in EN-6 as potentially suitable sites for nuclear infrastructure, such as Wylfa and Oldbury, continue to have advantages for that purpose. As locations which have also previously hosted a nuclear power station, both sites have positive attributes for new nuclear. As stated above, government intends to allocate a site to GBE-N’s SMR programme later this year.
