Conclusion (the committee's words)
The Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission programme has shown its potential for diabetes remission and weight loss, yet only a small proportion of people who might benefit are being offered the programme, due to the number of places and the lack of awareness amongst healthcare professionals. The national commissioning of the programme, which avoids areas having to design their own version of it, provides important lessons for any obesity service redesign. (Conclusion, Paragraph 29)
