Across this inquiry the Committee has heard about the importance of a diagnosis. The Committee recognises the value of a needs based approach, but this cannot be a replacement for a diagnosis. This Scottish Government and the next administration must develop a long term strategy with long term funding to ensure we have the workforce needed to be able to respond to the demand for diagnoses.
