Mrs X complained that Cyngor Gwynedd failed to address all the concerns raised in the complaint she submitted regarding a Social Worker.

The Ombudsman found that, while the Council had responded to Mrs X’s complaint, it did not address the main concerns raised and the Ombudsman said this caused uncertainty and frustration for Mrs X. The Ombudsman decided to settle the complaint without an investigation.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to, within 6 weeks, offer an apology and explanation for not addressing the concerns and to provide a complaint response with more detail and which addresses the complaint raised by Mrs X.
