Ambulance services – Emergency response (delay / paramedic care / call handling): Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust Report Date 28/04/2026 Case Against Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust Subject Ambulance Services Case Reference Number 202500208 Outcome Not Upheld Ms C has complained about the care and treatment she received from Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust. Specifically, the investigation considered whether there was a delay in sending an ambulance to her on 31 July 2024 as a result of any possible failings in the handling of calls made to and from the Trust.

The investigation found that whilst there was a lengthy wait for an ambulance to attend Ms C, this was not due to any identified failings in the handling of calls made to and from the Trust. The Ombudsman did not uphold this complaint.
