Full decision

Miss A complained about how Carmarthenshire County Council (“the Council”) dealt with safeguarding concerns she reported regarding her daughter.

Miss A said that the Council failed to share a report with her from May 2024. The Independent Investigation taken into her concerns upheld this aspect of her complaint.

The Ombudsman recognised that the Council had still not shared this report with her, despite the complaint being upheld.

The Ombudsman sought and gained the Council’s agreement to within 4 weeks offer Miss A an apology and send her a copy of the report.
