Full decision

Mr A’s complaint centred on the way that a mental assessment had been carried out by social workers in the Community Mental Health Team. Mr A was also unhappy that he had not had a response to the emails that he had sent after receiving the Health Board’s complaint response. Mr A referred to the fact that the Health Board had offered a a local resolution meeting but noted that it would not be recorded.

The Health Board agreed to respond to Mr A’s post complaint response queries and to let him know whether it had anything further to add. It also agreed to confirm the Health Board’s process for recording local resolution meetings and to offer him the opportunity to make his own recording of the meeting should he decide to take up the offer of a meeting.
