Full decision

Mrs S complained that Pembrokeshire County Council failed to deal with her complaint and felt that her concerns were not being resolved. She further complained that despite promises to inspect her fence in October 2022,the Council had not yet actioned this.

The Ombudsman concluded that the Council failed to act on Mrs S’s concerns within a timely manner and said this caused frustration to Mrs S.

As an alternative to an investigation, the Ombudsman sought and gained the Councils agreement to apologise to Mrs S in writing for the delays and allocate a contractor to conduct the work on the fence within 30working days.
