Specifically, whether Mr A’s treatment by the Practice was appropriate in light of his presenting symptoms and available medical history.
On the basis of the information seen and the advice received, we found that the treatment given to Mr A by the Practice from November 2020 onwards (until the start of our investigation) was appropriate in light of his presenting symptoms and available medical history. The Ombudsman was satisfied that the care Mr A received, both in terms of the investigations undertaken and referrals made, did not fall below an appropriate standard. Accordingly the complaint was not upheld.
