Mrs X complained the Council failed to complete a Care Act assessment for her son in a timely manner. Mrs X also complained the Council failed to provide adequate communication and/or updates regarding the assessment process. She says the Council’s actions contributed to a significant deterioration in her son’s mental health as well as negatively impacting her own mental and physical health. We found fault by the Council. The Council has agreed to provide an apology and a financial remedy, review its care and support plan for Mrs X’s son and provide evidence of the service improvements it has
