Ms X complained the Council failed to provide her and her family with interim accommodation when they were homeless due to domestic abuse. She said this meant they had to live in unsuitable accommodation which negatively impacted their wellbeing. We found the Council at fault for failing to provide Ms X and her family with interim accommodation which caused them distress. The Council has agreed to apologise and make a payment to Ms X to acknowledge the injustice caused to her by its failings. It also agreed to make changes to improve its service.
