In short, Mr X says a Council officer disclosed his personal data to a third party. Mr X would like the officer in question not to attend any future meeting.

I considered information provided by the complainant. I considered the Ombudsman’s Assessment Code.
My assessment
We will not investigate. This is because it is reasonable for Mr X to refer the matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). The ICO is the regulator for information rights, and it is best placed to consider if the Council has disclosed his personal data.
Final decision
I will not investigate this complaint as the Information Commissioner is better place to consider.
