What this collection holds

Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations responses that central government bodies have chosen to publish on GOV.UK. They are collected through the GOV.UK search API. The collection holds 12,454 responses from 109 named publishers, published between April 2004 and 27 October 2026.

Most FOI answers are never published, so this is not a record of every request a body receives. The Cabinet Office's figures on the Answered on time tab count all requests to central government.
