That a comprehensive review be undertaken by greater Glasgow Health Board as soon as reasonably practicable of the following; (i) the training of staff involved in the delivery of haemodialysis to patients; (ii) the procedures for documenting and recording the checks conducted on patients during sessions of haemodialysis; and (iii) the auditing of the practice and procedures in place for the delivery of haemodialysis.
I urge the Crown to ensure that the procedures now in place are sufficient to avoid any family having to endure such long delays as occurred here.
