Given that HMYOI, Polmont has a high intake of disturbed young men from socially and economically deprived backgrounds, perhaps further thought should be given by NHS and SPS to their future aims towards mental health and behavioural issues of such inmates whilst within the prison setting and to supported care from other agencies on their release.
Under section 28 of the 2016 Act, each recipient of a recommendation must respond within 8 weeks.
