Recommendation

TECs and LECs should have a formal procedure for identifying potential board directors, ideally overseen by a nominations committee of the board. The procedure should take account of the need to produce person and job specifications and the need to produce a balanced board. Consideration should be given to the use of advertising either for specific vacancies or in general terms.
