North Bristol NHS Trust is an acute trust located in Bristol that provides acute hospital services and some community services to people in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. We undertook an unannounced on-site assessment of 2 medical and surgical wards and the Intensive Care Unit at Southmead hospital on 22 January 2024 in response to concerns we received about the training of current staff and whether the trust ensured all new staff received ongoing training.
