●Inquiry recommendation
A survey must be carried out of all remaining VIR cable installations and a renewal programme established. The electrical wiring, lighting, decoration, and general state of machine rooms and shafts must be improved. The waterproofing of electrical equipment to permit mechanical cleaning must then be undertaken.
