That this is the fourth such death within three years of people attending the multi-storey car park at the Arndale Centre with the specific purpose of jumping from a height thereby killing themselves.

Investigation and inquest
On 18 June 2013, I opened an Inquest into the death of Muniza Mehrban, aged 21 years. The Inquest concluded on 21 August 2013; the conclusion being that Muniza Mehrban, who died of multiple crushed injuries, killed herself.
Circumstances of the death
At approximately 2.00pm on Thursday 13 June 2013, Muniza Mehrban jumped from the multi-storey car park at Accrington Arndale Centre, landing in the service yard, thereby sustaining fatal injuries.
