Information Classification: CONTROLLED Regulation 28 Response - Kaius John Paul TUTT
Date Received: 31.05.23
Thank you for your letter of 23rd May 2023 and the accompanying Regulation 28 Report, in connection with the recent inquest into the death of Mr Kaius Tutt on the A391 at Carclaze, St Austell, in late 2022. I am pleased to confirm that the Highway Authority has arranged for the relevant downhill overtaking section to be removed at the earliest opportunity, which is likely to be around the end of June 2023. This will be carried out as an independent measure, rather than delayed to coincide with planned surfacing works later in the financial year. This is in line with the recommendation of our own investigation process as well as the subsequent inquest. I trust this is satisfactory.
