Conclusion
Maritime activity is concentrated in the EEZs of Norway (63% of all unique ship days), Russia and Iceland (15–16% each). At present, the volume of shipping in the Arctic High Seas beyond the jurisdiction of the Arctic states (the central Arctic Ocean) remains low and the number of unique ship days was flat over the 2013–19 period.
