HM Government
Acknowledged
Under the EPD General Terms, the UK and the US committed to a structured, negotiated approach to reducing applied tariff rates. This Government remains firmly committed to supporting the sectors affected by sectoral tariffs. To that end, UK-US discussions are continuing, with a view to achieving a significantly preferential outcome. The UK and US have agreed that the EPD can be further expanded over time to cover additional areas, ensuring that the agreement remains fair, reciprocal, and mutually beneficial.
