Recommendation
The Government should conduct a regular prioritisation exercise with industry and Parliament to identify the UK’s critical supply chains. This assessment should combine data regarding critical raw material needs, and possible supply chain disruptions or dependencies, across the economy. From this, the Government should identify which supply chains require strengthening to build the UK’s economic resilience. The results from the first of these exercises should be presented to Parliament within the next two years. (Recommendation, paragraph 133)
