We recommend that Government consult on the changes that may be required to the framework for managing public money in the face of challenges to economic and national security. This should include consideration of whether the tests underpinning managing public money 99 assessments adequately consider economic security imperatives and the benefits of securing both sovereign capabilities and critical supply chains.
