Ensure a named Assistant Chief Constable in every police force to tackle business crime.
Recommendation
The Government should ensure that there is a named Assistant Chief Constable for every police force with explicit responsibility for tackling business crime. This Assistant Chief Constable should work with local authorities through Community Safety Partnerships to ensure there is clear plan of action in every force area for combatting illegal trading on the high street.
