Recommendation (the committee's words)
We recommend that the Home Office also continues to provide long-term statistical updates on applications to the EU Settlement Scheme until at least June 2026, when the final awards of pre-settled status for on-time applications expire. This will ensure transparency regarding the number of late applications, and thereby facilitate continued parliamentary scrutiny of the Scheme.
